How Manatees United was started
The idea of Manatees United was created by two middle school girls who wanted to make a difference. They saw the horrible cuts and scratches manatees were getting from boats. The girls were determined to stop manatees from getting hurt. So they came up with Manatees United, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping manatees. Together, they gathered up friends who wanted to make a difference in the world too. With everyone, they were able to create Manatees United and make a difference together.
Our Mission
Our mission is to inform the public about manatees and the threats they face. Furthermore, our mission is to raise money to help rescue and rehabilitate injured manatees as well as protect them. We want the world to know about manatees and how important they are.
